Project Description
Early Childhood Nurse
We welcome to the practice, Jennifer Scales, who is a Tresillian trained mothercraft nurse.
Her services will be able to help families of our practice with young children, primarily from newborn to 2 years.
Patients of the practice do not need to be referred by one of our doctors for this service. However, for new patients, please call and make a doctor’s appointment prior to booking with Jenny so we can initiate a patient history .
Jenny will be available on Wednesdays and Thursdays. Appointment slots will be 15-30 minutes depending on your needs. When making your appointment, please give the receptionists an idea of the reason for your visit so they can allocate the appropriate time for you.
Jenny will be able to advise on topics such as feeding (breast and bottle) and nutrition, routines, settling strategies, weights/lengths, mother baby interactions, PND and support networks and family support groups.
Burraneer Family Practice is providing this service free of charge.
(Please note: For developmental checks and immunisation you will need to make an appointment with a doctor or the practice nurses).
