We offer urgent appointments - We keep appointments available every day for the acutely unwell, if you cannot find one online please call the surgery.

Annual Health Assessments

Our practice nurses provide comprehensive health assessments for the over 75’s. These are bulk billed and completed by the patients usual GP. They are an excellent way to pick up on health issues that regular appointments may not afford enough time to address.

Early Childhood Nurse

Our early childhood nurse is here on Wednesday and Thursdays to assist with growth and development assessments, feeding and settling issues as well as general mothercraft support.

Nursing Services

We have a team of Registered Nurses who an provide a multitude of services including wound assessment and dressing, vaccinations, ECG’s, INR’s and many other services

Home Visits

Our doctors may perform home visits for regular patients in cases of incapacitating illness.

Privacy When in Distress

If you are under distress, we can arrange some privacy whilst you are waiting to see your doctor.

Reminder Systems

We have established computerised reminder systems for various conditions i.e. diabetes.

Investigation Results

The doctors will advise how to obtain the results of investigations at the time that they are ordered.

Yellow Fever Vaccine Centre

Burraneer Family Practice is now an authorised Yellow Fever Vaccine Centre.

Specialist Referral Requests

A referral letter is required prior to specialist consultations.

Skin Cancer Checks and Treatment

Doctors at Burraneer Family Practice can perform skin cancer checks, and some have completed advance training in this area. Procedures to diagnose and manage common skin cancers are done onsite where possible or can be referred if required. Fees for procedures vary depending on complexity.

If you need to speak to your doctor urgently, please phone our friendly reception staff and they can book either a telehealth consultation or send a message to your doctor
